I’ve been tagged by Leslie from Books are the new black and I was very excited to finally answer to this tag. I figured I never really introduced myself around here, except in my Truths about my reader’s life article – but you only see my flaws around there. Let’s get going!

Who’s your all time favourite book character?
Mr Julian Blackthorn from The Dark Artifices trilogy by Cassandra Clare. I just adore him, and not only because he is one of the only demisexual charaters of Young Adult literature. He is sweet and caring and when he loves, he loves deeply. He is one of those people who can get consumed by their feelings, they can get crashed by it because everything is too strong and too vivid. And I think it is highly interesting to have put such a personality in the Shadowhunters universe.
If you were stranded on a desert island, which book would you take with you? (Survival books do not count)
It is a hard one, and I can’t answer with one book in particular, but it sure would be one of Alice Oseman’s ones. Because her books feel like home, her stories ring through my entire body every time I read them, and her characters are basically my family.
What’s your most unpopular book opinion?
I just hated We were liars. Right now, it doesn’t seem to be a huge unpopular opinion, but back when it just got out, it was. I remember everyone talking about how mind blowing and incredible and brain-forking this book was. So I picked it up. And guessed the THING right away. And hated everything because of it.
What’s your weirdest bookish habit?
To me, it is not this weird (but that’s because I am a weird person, so my weirdness scale is not very accurate) but I love to highlight and scribble my thoughts on my books. I even started a colours scheme, because why not.
What character would you bring to a family event as your fake partner?
Sunil Jha from the Loveless by Alice Oseman. Not only because he seems to be very funny, and we are from the same sexuality spectrum, but also because??? Come on??? His style would make everyone jealous, which is exactly what I would be planning on doing at a family gathering.
What made you decide to start a book blog?
The absolute frustration from trying to write reviews on my Instagram account. I mean??? How was I supposed to write essays on my favourite books with a characters restriction. Life was way too hard, I swear. And also, I wanted to be able to share with more people, and not everyone has an Instagram account.
What about reading and books do you love the most?
Some times ago, I would have said discovering new worlds, travelling without leaving my bed and other things you can find on a billion ✨inspirational ✨ quotes. But now, when I look back on the things I read and I take a look at the person I am today, I can see how my reading life actually shaped me. I am the person I am today because of the things I learned in books, that I was realising it at the time or not. My mind is sharper then before, my mind more open, and I find it very exciting to know I still have an infinity of things to learn through the pages of a book.
What is your field of study/desired profession/current profession?
I will – hopefully, that would be very awkward if I don’t – graduate from my bachelor in June! I study scriptwriting and aspire to work in both children animation and book-to-screen adaptation. Right after school, I have no idea what I am going to do, even if I applied for the Master of my dream and cross my fingers real hard to be able to do it! Oh, and right now, I am a part-time waitress!
What are some book recommendations that became your favourites/obsessions?
Aha, just like Leslie I’d say The Mortal Instruments. One of my former friends from High School was so shocked when I told her I was a big reader but I haven’t read the series yet. When I got to it, the whole The Mortal Instruments trilogies were out, as well as the two first books from The Infernal Devices. I gave it a go and… Well, you saw who my favourite character ever is!
What is the book you shove down everyone’s throat?
At the moment? Legendborn by Tracy Deonn. I ADORED this book. Please read it. And to convince you, here, take a look at this spoiler free review:
