Hi guys !
This week was less busy with school work for me, and yet I haven’t read much, this makes no sense. But I’ve been highly productive on here and on the various papers I have to turn in for my studies, so it is a good thing. Remember dearies, the number of books you read have nothing to do with how much of a bookworm you are. Those stuff don’t matter, really.
Without further a-do, let’s jump into my Week wrap-up!
Books I’ve read
Marty arrives in London with nothing but his oboe and some savings from his summer job, but he’s excited to start his new life–where he’s no longer the closeted, shy kid who slips under the radar and is free to explore his sexuality without his parents’ disapproval.
From the outside, Marty’s life looks like a perfect fantasy: in the span of a few weeks, he’s made new friends, he’s getting closer with his first-ever boyfriend, and he’s even travelling around Europe. But Marty knows he can’t keep up the facade. He hasn’t spoken to his parents since he arrived, he’s tearing through his meagre savings, his homesickness and anxiety are getting worse and worse, and he hasn’t even come close to landing the job of his dreams. Will Marty be able to find a place that feels like home?
I really liked this story and its characters. My review will certainly be up tomorrow in the evening for more details. But let’s say I think there aren’t enough obstacles in this novel. The story is very sweet and I related to a lot of personality traits from the main character Marty. And also, there are a lot of trigger warnings involved and for some of them, I would have loved to be aware before reading. But overall, it was a cute and empowering novel with strong character development. The story of how important it is to open up to the world and opportunities.
TV shows I watched
I am still watching Rick and Morty with my boo and I can tell you: this show is great date material. Like, really. I think we started the second season already, or the third, I can’t remember, but damn. So many plot twists and hidden messages in this. I love adult animation.

How did this week feel
As I told you, I felt like the week went easy on me regarding school work, so I had time to write a short script for a contest and also taking some pictures for Instagram – which I haven’t done in some weeks. I also made my first Reel on Instagram and it took me ages – boomer alert, yes, even if I am in my twenties. It was very fun and very nice and I can’t wait to make more !
What about you guys? How was your week? What did you read, watched or listened to?
