The longest books on my TBR

Hi guys!
How are you guys? I wanted to write down the longest books on my TBR to have a personal overview on how long it is going to take me to kill it to the core. Turns out, my TBR will live forever, and I somehow accepted that. I am good. (No, send help). Without further a-do, here is the list of the Longest books on my TBR.

Pin it now, read it later!

The Pillars of Earth, Ken Follett – 976p

I am not going to lie, this one freaks me out a little. I have the french edition on my TBR, with its more than 1000 pages, and I have to admit, this is pretty scary. Also, I know it would take me quite a long time to read and I do not have such a time at the moment. So I might let this one sleep in my TBR for a little longer.

Muse of Nightmares, Laini Taylor – 522p

I am kinda happy to have only one book above 700 pages in my TBR at the moment, I would have been freaked out otherwise. But… Yes. I still haven’t read Muse of Nightmares. Strange the Dreamer is one of my ultimate favourite novels of all time and yet here I am, a joke to the book community.

Legendborn, Tracy Deonn – 501p

Wait – I only have three book above 500 pages? You guys, this article is going to be quite disappointing, sorry about that. So, one of the million Arthurian retellings on my TBR, Legendborn which I can’t wait to read. Of the books I am writing down right now, this one might be the one I am the most excited about.

Green Rider, Kristen Britain – 499p

I do own the french edition of the book, which has more pages than the original one. Honestly, I do not remember when I got this book somehow? I know I might have bought it at some point because, you know, books don’t appear out of nowhere on your shelves (universe, please, could I put this on the idea box?). I don’t know when I will be reading this one, maybe soon, maybe in years, maybe never – because yes, I will have to make choices eventually.

Siege and Storm, Leigh Bardugo – 435p

Actually, I have already read this one. But I do want to re-read it in English, possibly before the TV show releases on Netflix. I don’t know if I am going to succeed on this but HEY, let’s cross our fingers for me to be reading – productive.

Loveless, Alice Oseman – 435p

I am so scared to read this one, very, very, very scared. Not only because it deals with aromantism and asexuality (I am on the aroace spectrum) but also because I have seen very mixed reviews on this book and it is scaring me. I know, I know it does not mean anything, but I won’t read this one until my brain isn’t clean of all the reviews I’ve read. Do you do this some times?

New Yorkers: A city and its people in Our Time, Craig Taylor – 432p

This one is the first from the article I am going to read, for sure. Not only because it had been sent to me by Netgalley and I am behind schedule (oops). But also because I am very interested in discovering this one since I loved Londoners by the same author.

Spellslinger, Sebastian de Castell – 400p

I bought this book in London, about three years ago. Mom, if you read this, I am so sorry (I promised her to read it quick, since it was the 15th books I bought on this trip lol). I know you are disapointed but I am also sure you still love me because I am adorable (sort of, at least I have a great humour, right?). But YES, the book, right. Hm, I heard a wonderful blogger that I love the work of and that I always trust with reviews saying that there is a lot of fat phobia in this one. So I might never read it, we will see. Have you read it? Could you give me your opinion on it?

It is all for today folks, I decided to stop at 400 pages, since I do believe books under this amount of pages aren’t very long. I am quite excited about those, even if I have to admit some books from my TBR might just end up being unhauled eventually. It is very sad, but I used to buy a lot of books without thinking or being responsible and I do some times regret it because I will never have the time to read them. Which is funny when you think about it, since I used to have the money to buy books and the time to read them and I have neither of those things now aha.

  1. I felt like that with Muse of Nightmares too because Strange the Dreamer is also one of my absolute favourites. I’d been putting it off for ages and I finally read it last year before everything went up in flames and lockdowns came into force. Thankfully it lived up to every expectation I had and more because it was amazing.

    1. Wow you made me want to read it so badly aaah. Thank you for your comment, I feel highly motivated now! I think I am going to re-read Strange the Dreamer soon because I want all the details to be clear in my mind, and I will jump into it afterwards! Can’t wait!
