Books that made me laugh out loud!

Annonce du titre de l'article Top ten tuesday

What is it?

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. (via That Artsy Reader Girl‘s blog). But more than sharing books with you, my mission here is going to be to convince you to read them!

Today’s theme: Books that made me laugh out loud

Spellhacker, M.K.England

I think I won’t put only this book by M.K.England on this top ten, because their writing style and characters are simply hilarious. I don’t know how to explain it, but the cast of characters is so diverse and so funny and so amazing. You have very sassy way of talking, very funny and direct punchlines and I love the humour in the scenes themselves.

The Disasters, M.K.England

Told you I would not put only one book by M.K.England in here. The Disasters, when I think about it, might be even funnier than Spellhacker. Really, if you want to spend a good time with some very funny characters and situations, you should check their books out.

Girls save the world in this one, Ash Parsons

You take the zombie apocalypse, but you make it feminist and geek as fuck and you have this book. The whole story takes place in a day, and everything is so funny. The main character is sassy and energetic and she leads everyone with sarcasm and some amazing punchlines. I really liked his story for its characters, but not really the story itself.

The Past and other things that should stay buried, Shaun David Hutchinson

I love how I recommend you books with death-centered plots for an article about stories that made me laugh out loud. But it’s not my fault if I like books with very sad and serious topics, but to treated with an heavy point of vue. I don’t know how to explain it, but I like authors who twist their stories and use their topics in a very light way. It is exactly the same with this one. In The Past and Other Things that should stay Buried. The main character works as an undertaker. One day, he has to take car of his ex-best-friend’s body… But she wakes up. And here goes the story. So fun.

Red, White and Royal Blue, Casey McQuiston

When you have two very fun main characters, well… You have a very funny story like this one. I loved the plot and loved the characters and loved they write to each other because it is the most fun thing ever. I think one of the reasons I love this book so much is exactly this: it is not only cute but also very fun and light and fluffy.

Once and Future, Amy Rose Capetta & Cori McCarthy

In the same vibe of The Disasters, queer story in space with fun characters and amazing story lines. I don’t know what else to say about it since I talk about this one every Tuesday aha. READ THIS ONE.

Rat Queens, Sass and Sorcery

I read this one a while ago and never caught up on the series, even if I want to, so badly. I loved the characters and the plots and the drawings and the deeply feminine cast, and everything about this comic book. Highly recommend this one.

I can’t think about any other book that made me laugh out loud, to be honest. Right now I am in a fun mood, so I might pick up some more soon, and share them with you if you want. What about you? What are the books that made you laugh out loud? Have you read any of those?

Next week theme: Characters Whose Job I Wish I Had (maybe not even because the job sounds fun, but maybe the co-workers are cool or the boss is hot?)
