Hi there !
Another week, another tag, another day of f u n. Today I am back with a tag I found on Read to Ramble about TBRs and I think it is my first tag ever about TBR, which is a m a z i n g. I don’t have a huge reading pile, there are about twenty five into it, when I had about one hundred some years ago. But I think it is big enough to write a tag about it! Are you ready? Here we go for the TBR book tag !
How do you keep track for your TBR pile?
I use Goodreads for quite a long time now, and it is very effective. But for two years I also use my reading journal to keep track of my TBR and the series I need to finish to read. It helps me a lot since I love to highlight the books I read and find it deeply satisfying to have more and more colours on my pages.
Is your TBR mostly print or ebook?
Print mostly, even if my ebooks TBR is getting bigger and bigger since I became a Netgalley member. I do like to own printed books, but I have to admit I can buy less and less due to the sanitary situation and the fact I don’t have a lot of money (woops).
How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?
I am 100% a mood reader, meaning I read by feelings mostly. I will just sit down in front of my bookshelves and decided what I am in the mood for. It is one of the reasons I do not like to have a lot of gifted books to read, for it put me in a kind of loop and I always end up having massive reading slumps. Which is not this big of a deal, but having reading slumps and not being able to read books I bought because of books that were gifted to me is a very frustrating thing.
A book that’s been on your TBR the longest.
Splintered by A.G.Howard. I bought this book when I couldn’t even read in English yet. So I think I have it for about seven years? This is crazy, I know, but I brought it to my apartment with me, hoping to get to it and couldn’t find the time yet.
A book that you recently added to your TBR.
Gay bar, why we went out by Jeremy Atherton Lin. I am so very happy my request for this book was accepted. Like, so very much. I sounds amazing and I can’t wait to get to it.
A book on your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover.
All boys aren’t blue by George M.Johnson. I think it is the most beautiful book I kinda-own. I say kinda because I only have a digital copy of it, but would love to have my hands on a printed copy !
A book on your TBR that you NEVER plan on actually reading.
None! I plan on reading all the books I own, or at least I will try to. I am not even sure I will, and if I don’t there are some titles indeed that I think I will never read. For example The Heavens by Sandra Newman, which I found on a dumpster (this is very sad) and picked up to save it.
An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for.
As far as you’ll take me, by Phil Stamper. I am planning on reading this one just after my current read, which is Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales.
A book on your TBR that basically everyone has read except you.
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton. I can’t wait to read it though, even if it’s on my TBR for years already. Give me some motivation on the comments
A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.
Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim. My best friend gifted it to me some two years ago (rip) and I keep hearing people recommending me to read it.
A book on your TBR that you’re just dying to read.
WHY DID NOT I READ IT ALREADY? Oh, right, that’s because I need and want to re-read the first one. Very badly.
The number of books on your Goodreads TBR shelf.
28 books in total ! I think eight of them are eARCS from Netgalley that I am going to read soon, so I think my TBR isn’t this out of control right? I am trying not to reach 30 books, for it would mean I add more books than I read on my shelves. Which would not fit my New Years Bookish Resolutions!
That’s it for this tag, folks! I really loved writing this one, for I am excited for every single book from my TBR and love to talk about them even thought I haven’t read it yet. I do not tag anyone, as usual, feel free to answer the questions on your own article or even in the comments. I am looking forward to read everything about your TBR!
