Hi guys !
Here we are, first monthly wrap up of the year 2021, how exciting is this? I can’t believe we are in February already, time really is flying by. I do not mind so far, because I am keeping my resolution to live every minute as the fullest. In this matter, my month has been pretty busy, but not this much when it comes to books. Get comfy, a cup of coffee, some tea, because here we go for my January Wrap up !
What I read
In January, I have read four books. Some times ago, I would have said only four books. But as you might know, I am trying to see whatever how many books I read as something amazing. So four it is. And four is already amazing. Here, they are ! You can reach my reviews by clicking on the cover of the books.
In general, I had a very good reading month. My favourite being Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney (since Daughter of Smoke and Bone is a re-read) and my least favourite being Ghost wood song. I didn’t really catch with the story or characters but I loved the idea behind the book.
What I watched
So, if you think I have spent most of my time watching TV shows instead of reading, you are right, and I am very much fine with that. I also watched some movies but I am not sure I want to talk about them around here, I’ll see about that. Don’t hesitate to tell me if it would interest you ! Tap a poster to reach the IMDB page of a show.
To your information, no, of course I did not watch every single season of these shows (I was busy having class and needing to get some fresh air, unfortunately), but here are the details. I started my rewatch of Queer Eye in December and watched season 4 and 5 in January. Queer Eye is my happy place and I love to watch it from time to time. I did watch the two seasons of Hilda in January, and fell in love with this animated series. It is cute and amazing and I will write a post soon. Another one I’ll write a post about soon: Undone. This series is a masterpiece! It is an animated show for adults, dealing with mental health and issues and I’ve never watched anything like that ever before. Friends is a rewatch as well, I only watched the half of season one, it kept me busy in the train. I watched season 3 of The Seven Deadly Sins and I have now caught up with its weekly releases ! I also watched half the last season of Disenchantment and the half of season five of iZombie. As for Lupin, I watched part one and my review is up here !
I did not have the time to start a new podcast in January, but I am still trying to catch up on Aaron Mahnke’s Cabinet of Curiosities which I am in love with but rarely find the time to focus on. It is a great podcast about history events that nobody can explain. Very fun to listen to!
How did this month feel?
As you might know by now, I don’t like to talk about my personal life on here, but I have to say that January was a very happy month for me. I try to stick to my resolution of only looking at the bright sides of stuff and stop loosing my time trying to please everyone. I also started a work/writing/reading routine that help me a lot to stay focused on the things I have to do and get things done. I took some advance for my school works, I spent one of the best weekends e v e r and I am starting February with a fantastic news you’ll soon hear about !
