Hi guys !
I am slowly starting to fall back into a romance-mood. When I come to this point, I like to pick up romances based on my feelings but also the messages behind the stories. So here are a bunch a YA romance that I would love to read ! As usual, click on a cover to reach the Goodreads Page of the book.
Victor & Nora, a gotham love story by Lauren Myracle (illustrated by Isaac Goodhart)
Okay, first of all: this cover is a masterpiece.
Then, what really makes me want to read this book is a simple sentence from the synopsis: « Victor & Nora: A Gotham Love Story is a tragic tale about living life to the fullest and what it truly means to love…and to let go. » My favourite message when I read a book is always the reminder of how precious life is. And also, I am a bit of a Gotham fangirl, and I love Victor.
Coming up for air by Nicole.B.Tyndall
Another gorgeous cover I see
I really love the idea behind the story: showing the good and bad sides of loving too much. Also, deals with loss and first love struggles and a lot of themes I relate too a lot, so I really can’t wait!
A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow by Laura Taylor Namey
This one looks so cozy and touching
I really can’t wait to read this book. Not only for the apparently cute romance in it, but also because it takes place in England and looks like it describes the country, its food and its placed a lot. And since England is a place I would love to live in, this books sounds perfect to me. I have one fear about this book tho: I really hope there isn’t a long-distance break-up in it. If there is, please tell me. Spoil me. I beg you.
Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch
I don’t know why I still haven’t read this book
To be honest, this one is on my wishlist for more than two years. Which is a lot for me. Romance? Italy? Ice cream? Bakery? YES PLEASE. Also, I learned that book #3 in the series takes place on Santorini, which is one of my ultimate favourite places I’ve been to, so I want to catch up on this series!
Sasha Masha by Agnes Borinsky
I need to get my hands on this book
There are a million reasons why I am dying to read this one. Transgender one voice story, queer romance, looks so touching and heart wrecking and YES, the cover is a piece of art itself.
A complicated love story set in space by Shaun David Hutchinson
Space? Love between to chaotic boys? A cover out of this world?
I love weird space stories. I don’t know why, it’s just something I like. I think it comes from my read of The Loneliest girl in the universe, which proved me space does not always mean hard Sci-Fi stories.
There’s Something about Sweetie by Sandhya Menon
Or the series I need to catch up on the most
I LOVE When Dimple met Rishi, then I read the novella As Kismet would have it and then something happened (my never ending TBR) and I never caught up on the series. But I will this year and might pick up this one very soon.
That’s all folks! I had a lot of fun sharing those with you. I might do an article about adult romance novels I want to read soon, because there are so much books on my wish list at the moment and so much things I want to talk to you about !
